Our Confession

Who We Are: Confessional Lutheranism

Concordia Lutheran Church is a congregation of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). Our identity is rooted in the conviction that the Holy Scriptures—the inspired and inerrant Word of God—are the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine and life (Sola Scriptura).

In grateful response to God’s love, we teach and confess the faith handed down to us through the ages, summarized beautifully in the Lutheran Confessions. We believe:

  • Grace Alone (Sola Gratia): God loves the world, even though we are sinful, and sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
  • Faith Alone (Sola Fide): By His suffering, death, and resurrection, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for all. We receive this gift through faith alone, which the Holy Spirit creates through the Gospel.

We are here to bring the gifts of God—the preaching of the Gospel, the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, and the Sacrament of the Altar (Holy Communion)—to our community and the world.

Join us Sunday mornings in Forsyth, MT, as we gather in worship using the liturgy.
